Photographer | Filmmaker | Producer
I grew up in a small village, close to Düsseldorf and spent my childhood with skateboarding, windsurfing, and playing music. Being creative was always a part of my life. For my friends and me, it just felt natural to pick up the camera at some point to capture our skateboarding and create music videos, etc. Since I got my first small camera at the age of 12, I was hooked ever since.
I moved to Aachen for university and studied "Media Communications for Digital Business." While learning the ropes of marketing, design, and communication, I continued working as a freelance photographer, doing studio shootings, events, and assisting several photographers. Additionally, we founded a start-up where we put into practice, what we have learned. I worked as a creative director and in collaboration with a studio we produced many e-learning videos.
After university it was time to see something different.
I worked full-time as a producer for Natural Born Explorers GmbH, based in Cologne, producing worldwide commercials in the outdoor, sports, and lifestyle segments. Setting up outdoor productions in remote places, traveling around the world to create adventures, and being responsible from the first idea until the final result was one of the greatest experiences of my career.
However, I wanted to get my hands back on the camera. I continued to shoot more water sports and produced full-service productions for different clients. Being a one-man show with my producer as background became sort of my thing.

So, what am I doing now?
After four years with the production company, I left for a year to travel around Europe in our van and start working as a full-time freelance photographer, filmmaker, and producer.
